Manic miner - a forgoten classic...

Manic Miner is a platform video game written for the ZX Spectrum by creator Matthew Smith. It used to be posted and sold by company named Bug-Byte in 1983, then later the equal 12 months by way of Software Projects. The first game in the Miner Willy series, the graph was stimulated by means of Miner 2049er (1982) for the Atari 8-bit family. Retro Gamer referred to as Manic Miner one of the most influential platform games of all time, and it has been ported to numerous domestic computers, video sport consoles, and cellular phones.Let's discuss bit more about gameplay .

(even a newer version for windows look so retro, source bing)

You have each of the twenty caverns, every one display screen in size, are numerous flashing objects, which the player ought to accumulate earlier than Willy's oxygen furnish runs out. Once the player has amassed the objects in one cavern, they ought to then go to the now-flashing portal, which will take them to the subsequent cavern.

Willy can also be killed through falling too far, so players need to time the precision of jumps and other actions to stop such falls or collisions with the enemies.

(This is how manic miner would look in real life ,probably :D)

All in all we can say that manic miner was game of it's time but certainly lost lot of it's charm through out the years.

+ positives :

- never ageing retro look

- gameplay is quite fun (for short time)

_ negatives :

- game has no long history

- not many retro people want to play this game again

- has no never ageing style like (example ...Sonic )
