Because im absolute amateur when it comes to cb radios and ham radios i did a bit of online search and
according to :

 Google.com search

"In the most simplest form, the difference between CB and Ham radio comes from power output.

Ham radio uses a much higher power output compared to CB, allowing further communication to other states and even around the world.

CB tends to operate at most at about 4 watts while Ham can go up to 1500 watts."(source,google.com).

So why would you want to buy CB radio if ham radio have more power?

You don't need licence for 4 watt radio .You can increase power with amplifier (not advised for amateurs) ,have range up to 20 miles and doesn't cause any interference with 27mhz setting.

So what about Ham radio?

Ham radio require licence so require passing exam (might take time) has power up to 1500 watts which is why is used mostly in emergencies and by professional services which without proper setting might cause interference which is very serious (you might even get fined for that). Also there's higher cost with increased power setting.

Whether you choose cb or ham it's a great hobby to start for anyone that has electronic passion as these radios can be used indoor and outdoor as part of communicating with other people or in any situation where you can't use mobile phone for any reason.

? LITTLE TIP ? :
As there is also many vintage radios to buy on places like Ebay beware of the condition and if you unsure discuss with buyer before buying .;) Enjoy.
